Here at Michael G Ryan Son and Daughters LTD we understand that every individual has a different way of saying goodbye to their loved ones, if you or your loved ones are not religious, there is an alternative to an ordained priest/ minister, you can now have a Civil celebrant or Humanist to conduct the service, Crematoriums and cemeteries now accept non-religious Celebrants, we work with numerous Humanist's and Celebrants across Wales so rest assured, if you entrust us with finding a Humanist or Celebrant, they will be of high standard with a great reputation
A civil funeral celebrant is an individual person, quite often, but not necessarily, an authorised civil marriage celebrant, who offers to perform civil funerals in a dignified and culturally acceptable manner, for those who, for whatever reason, do not choose a religious ceremony, their belief is to celebrate life in whichever way we find appropriate, a Celebrant can use religious terms and add prayer's and hymns
Humanists believe that human experience and rational thinking provide the only source of both knowledge and a moral code to live by. They reject the idea of knowledge 'revealed' to human beings by gods, or in special books A humanist funeral is a non-religious service that is both a dignified farewell and a celebration of a life. It recognises the profound sadness of saying goodbye whilst celebrating the life and legacy of a loved one.
